Kellie Martin. Martin, a native of the United States is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. Her other roles of note include the title role of her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin, the daughter of a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her professional career as an actress at age seven. Her aunt who served as an nanny for Michael Landon's kids was able to help Martin land a role in 1983's show "Father Murphy". Following her graduation of Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness with roles that she was able to land on the small screen and big. Martin is also a photographer and a dancer. Since she is a mother of two children, she has become the official spokesperson of national for Lupus. She has also promoted awareness of the disease since her sister's death in the age of 19.
